8 by 10 Production Panel. A ten second tutorial and Photoshop action by Paul Jaruszewski A simple technique to create a single image that contains a collection of 8 by 10 images. Simply create a panel of 8 by 10 images. This action will create a layered image at 300DPI of 8 by 10 images in landscape format. The routine will crop images that aren't in 8 by 10 format as long as the images are in landscape format.
Instructinos: Load into Photoshop the image you want to be in the first panel. Run the first action in the set, called "Start Panel." The image you opened will be closed without saving so if you have made edits to that image you want to keep, please save them prior to running the action.
After the "Start Panel" action runs, load into Photoshop the image you want to be in the next panel. Run the "Add Image" action. Repeat this step until you have all your images added.
The final step with the action set is to run the "No More Images" action. All this does is fix the left and right margins.
Example of mat simulation.

Free to use or share. Email me to let me know if you like it! These routines are free for all to use. Please share this with anyone who may be interested by pointing them to this website, not sending the action directly. By sending a link to this page I am able to update the actions and disseminate the most current version. These actions were created as a result of friends asking for help or suggestions in handling the printing of large images in canvas. If you have special needs for a custom routine, please don’t hesitate to email me at kd6lor1@cox.net. If the project is interesting I may take it on for my usual fee... Nothing...
